Awesome Osteopernums

In mid-spring I purchased various colors of Osteopernum. I've had varying success with them as potted annuals over the years. This was not a successful year for them, unfortunately, but they are just beautiful flowers, and I got a few shots of them before they withered away...

left-right: 1.) Original photo (untouched); 2.) same photo with monchrome tint; 3.) same photo again with monochrome tint but w/color preservation turned all the way up, and "glow" effect added.

Which do you like best, and why? (click any photo to enlarge)

These are beautiful shots!! I love your new design as well. It gives you so much more room. Love the dew drop on the flower on the left. (I've had varying degrees of luck with these flowers also...)

Kelly - Thank you. Yes, the new design does feel more "roomy." More inviting, perhaps? I wish I could have more consistent luck with these flowers, though!

Thomas - Thank you for stopping by, and for your nice comments. I love flowers that have intense colors like this.

Shelley - Thank you so much. I bet these would grow well at your log cabin! I think they prefer more sun than I can give them.

Oh funny! A few weeks ago My husband good-naturedly tagged along with me to yet another garden center and he spotted this exact kind of orange daisy and got all excited and insisted that we buy them. I am glad he did because they are stunning. I am sorry yours didn't do so well. You got some beautiful photos though.

Gabrielle - Your husband has good taste in flowers, I see. There is something particularly amazing about these flowers and their colors. I hope you have better luck with them than I did!
