Being on a lake always makes for nice fluffy, puffy, dramatic clouds. This post is dedicated to my Dad, who is a big fan of taking sky photos. Hope you enjoy these, Dad!
(this photo was taken by Dave while I was reading bedtime stories to my niece and nephew - nice work honey!)
*Skywatch was created by Dot and put in motion by Tom, who made it a huge success. It is now hosted by Klaus with the help of Sandy, Ivar, Wren and Fishing Guy. To see more great sky photos from around the world, go to Skywatch Friday.

They are delightful and dramatic sky photos, Well done!
These are all great shots. As I was scrolling through, I thought, "This is my favorite," then, "No,THIS is it." I did that all the way through. I couldn't pick a favorite because they are all so wonderful. Terrific photo series.
Wonderful cloud photos!
Lots of magnificent shots.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
Great photos! All are beautiful...I love the red and white flowers in the foreground...and the last shot with that gorgeous glow reflected in the water...
Wow Beautiful Photo's of the North! For a minute I thought you were at otsego lake, but then the houses almost remind me of torch lake? Anyway, Beautiful post about skies here in N.Michigan. Hope your dad enjoyed the it as well! happy friday! :)
Gorgeous! wow
Dramatic is an understatement! Gorgeous... My favorite is the big on in the middle...the darks and lights are stunning.
Wow! A great series of sky shots. Don't know which I like best. I do love those really dramatic clouds in the sky, but the sunset shot has such warm colors. Enjoy!
I know that I like them all, Heather. Great photography.
I love big, fluffy white clouds too! The sunset photo is stunning! Happy SWF!
Dramatic indeed! My favorite is the one with the red & white flowers - very patriotic!

Very dramatic, indeed!
Wow! Those are all really great.
All you Skywatchers, thanks so much for stopping by and leaving such nice comments. I'm glad I chose to share these images. It just goes to show how universally amazing something so simple as a billowing cloud can be to all of us!
NLSM - This is neither Otsego nor Torch Lake, but you're definitely in the right area! These were mostly taken on Walloon Lake, except for the one with the flowers, which is looking out on Little Traverse Bay. Glad I was able to represent your part of the world well!
