Colors of summer - a memoir

I've been obsessed with color lately. The fact that paint colors need to be determined for the rooms in the guestudio could have something to do with that. I think I made my final decisions tonight, though. To celebrate, here's a sampling of some colors I captured during our vacation to northern Michigan in early July. Nature's palette can't be beat.

My favorites are the pictures of the peeling bark. Lovely shade of brown there.

Fabulous choice that nature offers. I think this has given me an insight into the gueststudio interior. FAB.

Joy - I love that bark, too. That's a birch tree of some sort, and we don't have many of those down in southeast Ohio, so I really love seeing them when we're up in Michigan.

Frank - Sorry to say that a lot of the guestudio interior will be painted white (I want a nice clean, bright background for photography), but there will certainly be touches of nature here and there.

Cheryl - You are most welcome!

Such lovely summer photos! While I like the peeling birch bark, my favourite is the left leaf - the way you can see all the veins and textures!

Judy - Thank you! Sunlight can do amazing things to leaves, can't it?
