Meeting a friend in Michigan

When Shelley heard we were heading up to northern Michigan for our vacation, she invited us to stop by their log cabin. It just so happens that it's only a little over an hour south of where we were headed, so we dropped by on the way to our destination.

Precious little Scout. She's a Bernese Mountain Dog, and she has her own blog!

It was so nice to finally meet Shelley and her husband Greg, and her new puppy Scout, and Marvin the cabin cat. Their log cabin is so cute and quaint, and in a great location on a small lake. We had a great visit but had to continue on after a few hours so as to get to our own lakeside location before dark. Thanks for inviting us to visit, Shelley! We enjoyed meeting you!

Shelley - You are so welcome. I just opened your strawberry jam today and it is DELICIOUS! Also, can you please email me the recipe for that cheese ball? It was so good! Wish we would have had a chance to spend a little more time with you guys. It would be great to see you at the symposium!

Ginny - Yes, Shelley's cabin is in a very peaceful location. It was really great to be able to meet both she and Kelly in the same week!

Two blogging friends...two days! I bet you two had a great time talking about the birds, the lakes, and the loons. Shelley's cabin looks so nice. I would love to have a cabin on a lake, and Scout is adorable!! Those eyes look so sweet!

Kelly - Yes, it was a whirlwind of meeting new people, and it was great fun! We had a very nice visit, and her cabin really is lovely! And Scout is one of the most adorable puppies on the planet (after our 2 dogs, of course!). She was very sweet, indeed.
