There is 9 - one of them you can only see the tail on the other side of the feeder - so there are 2 on the feeder total along with the good company of the mourning dove, the other 7 are in the trees w/ 1 of them on the railing. This was fun!
Oh, and BTW, good to hear from you Beaverton Bird Blog! We'll be comparing notes through the month of February for Northwest Nature Nut's February Bird Count!

...this is tough for me! I only see 8 cardinals and the mourning dove Shellmo mentioned.
I think there are 9 cardinals and 1 dove.
I almost was gonna say 8, then I recounted and saw the tail on the backside of the feeder. I say 9 and one Mourning Dove. Great test!

The correct answer is indeed 9 cardinals and 1 mourning dove. Glad you all picked up on that Cardinal tail. Great job!
