Spring in "blue"m

I'm on a bit of a collage-making kick right now. I'll be sharing several with you over the next few days. First, my ode to all things blue this spring...

Featured in this collage: Eastern Bluebird, Bluets (wildflower) and Lithodora "Grace Ward" (perennial for the flower garden)

Beautiful Heather!! What brilliant colors!!

Kelly - Thanks. I use a free program from Google called Picasa to make the collages. It looks like it's still in the beta stage for Mac, though.

Ginnymo - Thank you. We see very few blue wildflowers around here, so I have to catch them while I can!

Hi Heather! What is it about the color blue? I'm currently in love with it. I used to be a green girl, and still am, but blue's got me hooked right now. LUV the collage!

Hi Meg! Blue is my current favorite, too... has been for a long time, actually. I went through a purple phase in my teen years, but blue's the best! Stay tuned for more flowers!

Heather I love the blue collage. Good luck at the "Shoot the Hill's"
contest. I am not participating but it looks like a good weekend weather wise to take photos. I hope you post some of your pictures on your blog.

Beautiful blue collage. Well done Heather (& Picassa!)
I tried growing Lithodora a few years back but for some reason it didn't survive for long.

...thanks Heather. I'll have to look at it. Hopefully they have a full release for Mac soon!

Lona - Thank you! Yes, the weather does look like it will be great for picture-taking this weekend. I will be sure to post some of the resulting photos!

Frank - Glad you enjoyed it. I hope the Lithodora will do well in our garden. I just keep trying until something grows for more than one season!

Heather, do you like the Grace Ward Lithodora? I have thought of planting some myself. It looks gorgeous in your photos!

Kathie - So far I do like the Grace Ward, but I haven't actually planted it in the ground yet, so we'll see. It says it's an evergreen, so I'll really be interested to see how it overwinters. Also, I'm a little worried it won't get as much sun as it might like once the trees leaf out. I'll let you know in a couple of months!
