It occurred to me the other day that I still have tons of photos from our trip to Michigan earlier this year that I have not yet shared. Time to work on fixing that, wouldn't you say?
Here, we will enjoy the simplicity and beauty of the Wild Pea. We will wander our way through from baby flower to pea pod, with some tendrils of vine mixed in. Enjoy.
I think the super close-ups are my favorite shots! We have this species here too, and I've had trouble trying to figure out what it's actually called. I've heard wild pea before, but also field pea, butterfly pea, and a few others too I can't recall off the top of my head. I don't think it's in my field guide, so I'm assuming its introduced. Do you know anything more about it?
Monika - I can't pin this one down in a field guide either. I've also heard it called Beach Pea, but I've never actually seen it at a beach. Unfortunately I don't know anything about it. One of these days I'll try to research it some.
Carol - Thank you. I think the flower pods in that shot look like baby booties.
Crista - I can't say I've ever noticed their scent, but I'm sure it must be devine.
Meg - Thank you, glad you enjoyed them.
Michele - Thanks so much! The more macro work I do, the more I love to do it.
